Welcome to Growing Pains In Christ. If you are here, you are either in search of information on DID and/or SRA for yourself, for a loved one, or maybe you're just doing research. No matter what your reason, I hope you will find GPIC a place of support, caring, information, hope, and warmth. My creation of Growing (PAINS!) In Christ began as a result of not being able to find the kind of support and information I needed for my own healing, endless questions, and nonexistent personal support person to person. I understand that each individual living with multiple parts is a unique and special person in God's own design. But after reading tons of books, talking with several "experts" and therapists, and searching the infinite web-I still haven't been able to find ME anywhere. I came up with the name Growing "Pains" out of my own endless physical pains, all undiagnosable of course. Some call these body memories, others call it a form of Somatization disorder. No matter what label you want to attach to it, they hurt. I have had pains and other "abnormal" symptoms since I was a small child. I am an adult and they still continue to limit my life and abilities.

The "In Christ" is because I am a constantly struggling Christian. My number one question is "am I or am I not a Christian?" Of course, every day (sometimes every hour) I get a different answer. So whether or not I am indeed a Christian, I still present this site as a place for Christians to come and feel welcomed. I am not a church that will turn you away, call you names (such as being demon possessed), or abandon you when you don't find freedom in "my" timeline. My main purpose here is to provide support to others who are DID and/or their loved ones. Even though I have my days of struggling with my many opinions of God and Jesus, I do know He is the key factor in true healing. I believe that ALL abuse affects us spiritually, whether you consider yourself a Christian or not. It cuts to our core, our beliefs, and most importantly to who we truly are. In order to heal completely, we must have Jesus at the center of our lives. There are many Christian organizations and even churches that do not believe in the existence of DID. It is not mentioned specifically in the Bible, therefore they can deny it. The closest verse is Isaiah 61:1-3

"The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me; Because the Lord has anointed Me to preach good tidings to the poor; He has sent me to heal the brokenhearted (the soul), to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to those who are bound (who more than the DIDer); to proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all who mourn, to console those who mourn in Zion, to give them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they may be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the Lord, that He may be glorified."

I will probably never understand why God refuses to go against man's will, no matter how many Christians try to explain it to me. But God is love and through our struggles, He does bring us closer to His dwelling place within Him and His kingdom.

I am also building this site as a form a therapy for myself through art, poetry, opinions (!), and any other outlet the "insides" feel like sharing. I am a very opinionated soul, so please forgive me if I step on any toes. My intentions here are to serve as an honest outlet to what Dissociative Identity Disorder truly is-a perverted abuse against the most innocent of children-the babies, the young, the weak, the ones who can't protect themselves. The crimes are insane as they take the frailest population and turn them into confused, suffering children who then become even more confused, suffering adults in the need of the most loving, caring, guidance back to oneness.

May God bless you all who enter these pages and may He bring great wisdom unto you. If I can't help answer your questions or help you find yourself among these pages, then I pray that He will lead you to the right answers for you. If you have any questions or comments for me, please feel free to contact me through the form on the Contact page. Thank you for visiting.
